Half-day Agafay The Agafay Desert is located about thirty kilometers from the red city of Marrakech, on the lower reaches of the High Atlas Mountains in Morocco. It is a region that extends over several hundred hectares, covered with stones and rocks in a hilly environment composed of dunes in white and ochre tones. Although the topography of Agafay is similar to that of a typical desert, such as the Sahara, it is not a desert in the true sense of the word, but rather a small desert expanse. Its proximity to the red city makes it a popular getaway with growing popularity. The Agafay Desert includes an oasis of approximately seven hectares, planted with eucalyptus, olive trees, and vines, nicknamed the enchanted oasis, which draws its vitality from a nearby wadi. Agafay is also characterized by the presence of numerous multicolored staircases. It is also possible to go quad biking and eat local food with a Berber show. The Agafay Desert is easily accessible from Marrakech towards the small Imintanoute town.
